How many types of ships do each race have? I'm a bit curious if there is a list somewhere for this, and if there are going to be many different ship designs or not? Is the current amount of hull designs going to increase before release?

I only know that every faction has 6 ships. I don't know if they'll add more or not, hope they will.

Currently each of the factions has access to 6 ship classes (as stated in the FAQ). You can customize their loadout and save the custom-designs. Visual customization is not currently present in the Alpha and hasn't been confirmed for the final game. No info has been released so far on a possible increase of ship classes.
