Expansion Victory

Is there any way to continue a game once the game decides it is over?

I fought long and hard against the cravers. I'm currently battling it out with the Empire faction and just contacted the Hisshos who apparently had half the galaxy to develop all to themselves. I'm finally starting to get ahead of the curve and enjoying the game and BAM its over.

Well you can disable victory conditions in the main menu at beginning.

Only at the moment, it doesn't work properly, it is a known bug tho.

As for continuing to play once "victory" set in, not sure whether it is planned or not.

If you have a save game from just before the winning point, you can follow the instructions in this post to turn off the victory check:

Thanks, with that I was able to find the setting for expansion victory and change it. I hope it works, won't be able to test until a little later though.
