I hate starting new threads, so I searched but found no answer to this (can't believe someone hasn't at least asked)... How do you speed up the tactical combat? I mean, I'm making 3 decisions that take about 5 seconds and then I have to sit through a minute of quick-cuts that don't even really show me anything (it's pretty to watch the first time - just annoying the 10th or hundredth time). There's got to be a hot key or button to speed it up, no? Did I just miss it? Planned for future versions?



I'm starting to dread those combats that are close enough that I don't want to risk auto combat.

Currently there is no way to speed up battle, and I now exactly that problem of the close battles. It's probably going to be fixed in some of the later alpha versions but till then you'll have to get along with it.

Ah ha! It said "skip combat" - I was searching for "speed" as in "speed up combat" or "adjust combat speed." Thanks for the answer and the link!

Well, you can monitor the flow of battle and edit your choices based on what you see. I find myself switching up what abilities I'm using when my enemies suddenly start bristling with lasers (or missiles or kinetic), but skipping to the next phase would be nice.
