sins is RTS and ES is turn-based.

i'm not so much bothered with graphics, but gameplay-wise i had much more fun with ES so far than i ever had with sins.

Yeah i see that..

i ended up buying it, was a little disappointed with it at first until i got through the learning curve.

The Battles look great and there are no lag issues unlike on Sins, so thats a plus atleast.

The way the Galaxy looks is a little bleh imo though, kinda prefer it to be clean like how it is on Sins and turn based is kinda bleh but cant have everything. Atleast it was cheaper then Rebellion :/

Thx

It's sad to buy a turn based game when you don't like that. It's not a matter of what is best, it's more a matter of what you like.

What do you mean by "clean" ? Because I find sins more cluttered, and I love the visual of the galaxy (in ES) behind the systems.

Sins of a Solar Empire?

tbh they look VERY Similar and much of the game itself is similar to Sins, however i have to admit that Endless may actually look better..

Graphics appear to look better, the addition of heroes n such is a nice touch, and the way the systems look in general look better then to that of Sins..

I plan on buying Endless shortly, but i was curious what people that have played Sins Trinity/Rebellion and the previous games think of Endless.

Any info on this would be nice.

If this isnt the right place then well you know what to do

Oh Also, is Endless actually going to make use of Quad Core and above CPUs? searched for it but didnt find anything

Not sure if this is for the FAQ section but hey we might put an entry in the FAQ: "How could you make Endless Space so much better than Sins?", "It was easy." smiley: wink

But seriously, among the other differences, ES has much more depth than Sins and therefore it can be played for much more than 1 week (the time you need to get bored of sins). I even wrote a short blog post on my profile and pointed out some of Sins' weak sides compared to ES, take a look if you like.

Well i didnt know it was turn based.. so..

And very funny Raptor..

Well had a "Question" so figured it would be the best place.. didnt wanna post somewhere n have Steph start yellin smiley: stickouttongue

But yeah, now that i know how the game works i like it, took me a little bit to figure out the command point cap for the Fleet sizes. Battles imo are the best aspect of it, though i wish it was in real time, with turn based you dont have to think as much.

Anyway thx smiley: smile

You are welcome. Glad you like the game most of us already love it can't wait for the Beta to be released smiley: smile I'm closing this thread and moving this question: "Is Endless actually going to make use of Quad Core and above CPUs?" to the Q&A thread where hopefully it will be answered.
