Hey,

I was wondering if Endless Space supports full 3D? That would be the sweetness!

It's an automatic buy if it does. If it doesn't I may still pick it up, but it will be later.

I tried it with 3D Vision.

Main manu looked weird.

Star map was OK - only problem was with star system names rendered at screen depth, I wasn't bothered much by other UI elements being at screen depth, but there was no apparent depth besides the star map being a little further than the UI at screen depth.

Combat screen was not good, there were several 2D elements and at wrong depth.

Currently I would rate it Not Recommended.

Thanks xwing...I just got my rig 3d vision 2 compliant. I picked up the new asus VG278H and it's awesome. Are you saying that any game can be attempted with 3d vision? If so, that's way cool. I've been trying to implement Helix mods for some games with poor to non-existent 3d support. Maybe I should suggest this game to some the folks helping Helix out. They've asked for "requests" on some threads. ME3 is now awesome in 3DV2.

No headaches. I've shelled out some cash for a decent setup though. I just picked up the new ASUS 27 inch 3d Vision 2 Monitor with NVidia Lightboost. It's absolutely the $#@&!!! Everything is bright and crisp. My other setup is on a 2011 Samsung 59" Plasma. Both sweet. 3D gaming is more drastic than going from lo-def to HD. It is mind boggling to me that people keep trolling it. I simply believe that those that knock it, simply haven't had the ability to try it properly, or some people just have some sort of eye issue that will not allow a good experience. 3D at the movies is pretty cool, but is not HD in each eye (passive glasses), 3D at home on Bluray is jawdropping (720p in each eye). 3D on my computer is "cry the first time you see it" type geekgasm (1080p in each eye, plus higher quality pc graphics). I can't believe the big-box stores don't have a 3d Vision setup in their stores....they are throwing money down the toilet. Btw I'm a 43 year old man who has been gaming since before Pong...making games on the TRS80 in science lab.....believe me when I tell you: It is not a fad, but you do get what you pay for.

The problem with active 3d is that you get realy annoying amounts off flickering.

it's like using a crt screen below 85hz but it's worse it's like using a crt screen of 30hz

passive 3d gives lower res but the tradeoff for almost no flicker is worth half the res, both me and all my friends hawe this issue with active 3d its unbearable. this may come from growing up with crt screens and getting our eyes homed to see the flickering. cant watch 60hz crt TV without the picture jumping upp and down.

Can you run Nvidia nvision on a passive 3d screen with passive glases, Or you forced to buy the active screen and glasses kit?

I play the game with 3D Vision and find that it adds quite a bit of immersion (although I realize it's a personal opinion). With minimum depth and a bit of convergence, both the system and planet view give you some cool pop-out. The strat map is a bit flat but still nice, and combat is meh in 3D. I'm not sure if it's fixable at all but, still, I intend to keep playing the game with 3DV.
