Several modders have expressed interest in making faction gameplay more story-oriented; I've definitely kept this in mind with the technologies, localizations, and race descriptions in Endless Dream.



I'd like to use this thread to share ideas for communicating the story to players in-game. Ideas might include:

  • Conditions for random events
  • Race-specific messages on first contact
  • Race-specific achievements/victory conds
  • Race-specific battle cards
  • Unlockable or otherwise condition-bound hero availability
  • Far more advanced treatment of narrative events
  • Complex tech tree dependencies





From a quick forum search, most of these have not been modded deeply yet - but I bet we'd all like to see them in-game. My priority right now is multiple 'AND'ed technology dependencies.
