I put down endless space a few updates ago and must have missed a few changes or I am doing something else wrong because I used to be able to independently change certain parameters in in the sharedassets17.assets file (among others) to increase the trait point limits, starting dust, starting ships and other things like that. Now when I open it with notepad ++ I get nothing but gibberish.



Was this a change in the files or do I need to use a different file editor then notepadd ++?
