Hey everybody!
As you may have heard, we are currently running a Humankind Map Creation contest with some amazing prizes (including a complete PC!) You can still submit your maps until Monday, so be sure to check out all information about the competition in the original blogpost, but here's a quick summary:
- Use the "Map Creation Contest" tag on mod.io
- Use the official thumbnail
- Create a map specifically for this contest, no resubmitting old maps
- The map must be complete (topography + gameplay validated)
However, we have a some important news to share about the competition as well.
Firstly, while there had been some legal obstacles that took longer than expected to resolve, but we are happy to announce that the list of countries who can participate has been expanded! See the new complete list of eligible countries below:

Secondly, we have noticed a technical issue with the map editor that can affect games played on these maps. If you notice this with your map, do not worry: It will not affect eligibility or ranking in the contest.
We’ve already seen many great submissions, and we’re excited to see what else you might come up with over the weekend!
