Props to the three newbies for immediately getting the ball rolling again, and for Mantovani for giving me something to work with. I think I'm gonna enjoy working with you guys.

On that note, does anyone know where Skeler's player went? I've been waiting for a response from him for ages.

@Stailinn: Sorry for the no answer. I had a rough week and couldn't find the energy to think.

In terms of story, it seems okay, but I'm wondering what you think a procurement officer's job is on a vessel into uncharted and uncivilised space.

I'd like to return to the Umbral Choir concept, I really think it would be fun to do in this group and particularly on the stated mission of the Saviour. With permission, I'll post a concept that "adds" to the concept of the character already on board so it doesn't require introducing a new member to the crew, it could simply be something that comes out later in roleplay.

If that's something you're willing to entertain please let me know.

After some consideration, and clarification on a couple of points from my fiance, I was wondering; what if I approached the character as more of a chief steward / purser sort? So in charge of supplies, financial shit, and so on?

Would that be more acceptable and in-line with what you're going with narratively?

Manager of onboard logistics seems like an apt title for such a job.

Name: Ignatov Lyosha

Race: Human (Vaulter / Aurigan)

Rank: Chief Steward / Manager of Onboard Logistics

Areas of Expertise: Procurements & Logistics, Finance & People Management, Arms & Armor Maintenance, Close Quarters Combat (CQC), Fire Arms Proficient, Piloting (Small Craft), Basic Engineering & Ship Maintenance, Cooking.

Personality: Charismatic and chipper, Lyosha is known throughout the ship as being the go-to-guy when you need something in a pinch. He is also never one to back down from a challenge when presented with one and is always willing to discuss a variety of topics with people at length. Preferably over a drink or two.

Bio: The only child of a renowned mercantile family, Lyosha was schooled from a young age in the ways of trade and deal-making, learning how to negotiate for goods from across Auriga. As Lyosha grew older his natural charisma and ease with which he was able to connect with people earned him the respect of his peers and pride of his parents. With the eventual passing of his parents in his late 20s during a ‘phage attack prior to the Vaulters departure from Auriga, Lyosha was more than ready to take on the mantle of his family’s business.

A new frontier meant new challenges; and though he quickly realized that a lot of his previously learned social nuances were seemingly universal, the lesson of the new dangers posed in the depths of space came hard to him. No more so than during one fateful transaction with representatives of the Lumeris. It was during this exchange that Lyosha, caught in the cross-fire between two warring factions, found himself exposed to pure Dust when the cannister he had been looking to barter for was hit.

His mind and natural talent for business seemingly sharper for the exposure to Dust, Lyosha was soon approached by the patrons of the Savior expedition and asked to come on board as the expeditions Logistics Manager, feeling he would be an excellent fit for such a role given his areas of expertise.

Thank you for the job title suggestion, Bob! Much appreciated. Minor edit but hopefully this will be more agreeable.

All right, Stailinn, you're approved.

And Valadeus, No. You already put up an UC character, then pulled them down again before I even had time to comment. I have no indication that you won't do the same again this time. So, please, you made your decision about what character to play. Stick to it.

I'm gonna second the looking forward to seeing where the bridge crew's plotting takes us, if we can get the thread going again.

Things are going pretty slow right now, but thought I'd post this anyway. I will be unable to post until July rolls around. Assume that Lamba is chilling with his samples. I would love to be involved in the away team stuff when that gets rolling, so if thats getting organized, just assume lambda is doing whatever he is supossed to be doing and I'll get post when I get back.

Seeing how many new people came, I'll drop a few words from me.

I know, I have been inactive since like... late 2017? Maybe more. I'll be honest: I forgot about it. While this roleplay was for me an interesting experience and I came across relly fantastic people, it somehow totally slipped out of my mind. Now, about two months ago I started to regularly write for my school paper and participate in various writing competition (essentially I'm trying to get into writing business) in addition to my normal schoolwork. Therefore I doubt I will ever have time or mind to rejoin the RP. Speaking shortly, I would like to say: thank you all, guys, for this adventure; and my character (Martin Ladderman-Corvus) is free to be converted to NPC or given to anyone willing to join.

Here is the character chart, updated with character development:

Name: Martin Ladderman-Corvus

Race: Human (United Empire)

Rank: IT Specialist

Areas of Expertise: Programming, Computer Fixing, AI Coordination

Additional Skills: Dust Telekinesis, Dust Hacking

Personality: An introvert, curious,  and open-minded, though he distrusts certain aliens and tends to judge them by stereotypes - an effect of Imperial upbringing. Perfectionist while working, childish in everyday life, often forgets about the simplest solutions to the problems and easily gets lost. Likes to quote proverbs.

Bio: Martin was an only child from an old lineage of Imperial nobles. However, a few decades before his birth, the family lost most of its wealth. Despite that, young Martin learned well and was very talented in IT. Unfortunately for him, when he was 16, his parents decided that he was old enough to start helping family and made him drop out of school. Nobody wanted to employ him due to his age, so in desperation Martin enlisted to the army and he was sent to commanding cruiser ''Dragoon''. There, he participated in a campaign against Deuyivans.  After a few weeks, ''Dragoon'' was caught in an ambush. While the ship was falling into the gas giant's atmosphere, he was exposed to Dust. Thanks to the skills he gained there, he was able to steal Deuyivan boarding vessel and return to base.

After the war, Martin started training to control the Dust abilities and learned about the Endless, which woke his curiosity. He started to search for any sign of the Endless' machinery to find out, why the Dust was created. Then, he heard about the ''Saviour'' and its expedition.

He is quite fond of capes and his weapon of choice is "plasma lancer" - a type of gun that shoots plasma bullets exploding on hit with a strength of a hand grenade. Battery must be replaced after four shots and fire rate is far from impressive, but it can give a punch.

Anyway, goodbye for now! If I get a chance, I'll come and see how the situation develops!

Mithrill, we wish you all the best in the future! May your adventures in meatspace surpass those here.

@Valadeus, I'll be offline for a few days most likely. Feel free to write the encounter at the armory however you want. I'll pick up wherever you leave λ gets left off.

I'm back! After a lenghty, unplanned hiatus, I am back. I have the small problem of remembering absolutely nothing about the character I put forward for this so if it's still going I'll have to rediscover my character or put forward a new one. It doesn't appear to have really been doing much, is this still a thing or has it more-or-less died off?

That moment when you wait for someone to react to your post, they finally post and they ignore you :/

Well, let's just try again.

Full fathom five this thread lies

Of its bones are Cravers made

That is Jadonyx that were its eyes:

Nothing of it that doth fade

But doth suffer a space-change

Into something rich and strange.

It does seem that our poor crew has all but left this place. Perhaps our friends will return one day, but I think it unlikely. In time perhaps life will return. But until then, our ship, The Saviour drifts Endlessly on the sea of stars.
