Really, after thinking about it some more, I think that it is in everyone's best interest for Amplitude to just add these avatars to the game by default without a requirement to watch.  It saves people on G2G the hassle of trying to catch a stream, it saves the streamers the hassle of having to stream a game that they may not be interested in, it also saves the streamers the hassle of streaming on a platform that they may not even use, it possibly gets Amplitude some extra airtime since the streamers may stream Humankind more than usual just to show off their avatar, and it gets the streamers better publicity because an average Humankind owner may start up the game, wonder who these streamer avatars are, and casually watch a stream or two (or more).  It would be a win-win for everyone if Amplitude just stopped pushing these Twitch drops and simply included them in the base game.

What was amusing for me was 2DKiri and Ancestor got added to my game in the last patch, which prompted me to go look her up and try and unlock her legit (although she was still in my game the entire time).

I have 2DKiri drop on Twitch now, but its not recognising it on G2G though.

He did once on release day, like some others.


A lot of them seem impossible to get, especially the older ones.


Maybe one day on a Amplitude stream. I find it strange that they put quite a bit of effort into them and not make them available in a realistic way.

I actually really love that we can get other AI opponents like this. Some of them can be a bit tricky to find online actually playing the game. I have most now though. Gotta catch em all!

From the ones I already had, tonight's Burke Black is the only one showing as a new entry on twitch drops instead of being counted twice like others.


There's something fishy.
