I don't think there are enough tags to go around with, and the tagging feature isn't very helpful without the option to add custom tags, or someone maintaining tags. I'd like to go around tagging threads with 'feedback' or 'video' for example, but nay. I can't even tag this thread with 'feedback'. :/



I think everyone should be able to assign tags of their choice, or have a thread where people can submit tags they'd like to use and have a moderator approve of them. However, the easier solution would probably just to use said moderator to keep tag vandalism in check once it becomes a problem, but that shouldn't really be the case.

More choice is always better and indeed handy. Ofcourse i don't know if this could be a problem.

Edit: Tried to add a tag but indeed i can't even set a decent feedback tag there should be more choice in these tags.

There's one way to create tags : the blog. If you post a blog then you can create tags. I, too, would like to add tags and I've already asked for them. Alderbranch said he was asking to devs and he'll be back as soon as he has any info on that.

Someone help me out here, but is there a list of available tags currently out there? Is there something we can do to manage existing tags? As it stands there seem to be loads of duplicate (or nearly so) tags. There's even some downright misspelled tags that need to be gone.



Aside from the Tag Cloud, I can't find any place that has a good list of tags, and it only lists 70.

when you want to add tags, just type 3 letters and you'll have a list of all the already existing ones beginning with those 3 letters.

That works most of the time, but there are a lot of words out there that are synonymous with other words. Trying to guess at them all can get fairly tiring.

I agree. The tags need a refresh. But we also need the ability to create some.
