Weak. You know that's just sheer lazy and a gigantic security risk, right? I really hope you don't take the rest of your security measures this trivially.

Hate to burst your bubble but special characters add nothing compared to password length...

I agree length is very important as well but special characters increase the possible combinations and raise the brute force rates considerably just the same, it just really took me by surprise that this site purposely blocks the usage of them when creating your password, makes me wonder what other sorts of short cuts are in play.

Yah I do love that XKCD comic as well smiley: smile Still not really addressing the heart of the issue though, because the site does not take special characters you've revealed two things to anyone who'd want to cause harm: The range of characters is a-zA-Z1-0 and that you are likely concerned that some element of the forum software isn't very good when it comes to sanitizing input so that'd be a leg up for someone trying to work in that direction. In the spirit of your prior post I offer this one:
