No matter how many times I view certain threads (or how I get into the thread) the "jump to new posts" purple square always jumps me to the same point in the thread.



For this thread it's always post #12.

Really? It works perfectly fine for me, as I always use that feature.

For me it works also.

For the thread you have linked it was number 10 and number 16 in second try.

Firefox 12. Addons: Greasemonkey, Stylish, Firebug, Fiddler, Radio Bookmark.



Cache (one H) shouldn't be the problem, as this occurs on no other forum I use.

The issue is that this url: /#/endless-space/forum/29-archives/thread/13579-suggestion-heroes-from-different-species

Resolves to this one: /#/endless-space/forum/29-archives/thread/13579-suggestion-heroes-from-different-species



That redirect should be occurring server side. The only reason the browser would cache that is if the forum software is dumb and lets the browser cache those redirect pages.



Curiously, if I load that first URL in Chrome it takes me to post 48. Reloading it in Firefox still takes me to 12. I'll see if clearing my cache fixes it, and if it does, that's only a mild workaround, as I would have to clear my cache every time I wanted to read a thread (see point about server/forum software being dumb).

I have Firefox 13 Beta, so i cant say if it is a Forefox 12 problem or not.

But i have found out that it only brings me to the page or to the post netxt to a post

that i have made. If you only read about two or 3 posts it does not work. Quiet wierd.

But I think that thos is enough. If i realy follow a thread i post and if not the site wich i have

read last helps me to get better back in the content.

The problem though is that it'll put me at the bottom of page one...of a six page thread that I've read all of, but the last post or two.

I'm using Firefox 12 as well and never had a problem with the "go to last post feature", even at home with the latest version of Aurora or on my phone when using Safari. I just tried Chrome: no problem either.



A month ago or so, some people were having issues on the forums because of their Anti-Virus; can't tell if this might be related.
