This isn't high priority, I realize that, but it's been frustrating for me to carry out conversations in groups at times because of the 1000 character limit. On one hand, I understand the importance of brevity but some groups are so specialized (like a special forum for posting scientific articles without wanting to redirect) that it becomes a battle to cut out as many words as possible, going from 1134 to 1018 to 1001. I literally had to delete a comma to send it off.



Therefore, expanding the limit by even 500 characters minimum would help encourage well-thought out (and sometimes, admittedly wordy) responses. I don't want to see this turn into quantity over quality, but would it really be too much of a problem to extend the character limit?



As I said, this isn't high priority. It's a minor suggestion, but I hope you'll consider! Thank you!

Just as a workaround (which I often used myself):

1) Estimate a 1000 characters or less long part (starting at the beginning) of your intended post

2) Select everything that doesn't fit

3) Do Ctrl + X

4) Send off the post

5) Make a new post directly after your last

6) Do Ctrl + V

repeat as often as necessary.
