Achievement Notifications

I've been having a weird problem for the last few hours or so.

I get a notification saying that I've gotten a new achievement. Yay, new achievement, so I go and check it out. Only, instead of seeing a new achievement, one that I know I had was missing. It's no big deal, so I shrugged and went about my business. Then I got another achievement notification, and when I check it, my missing achievement is back. But then, a bit later, another notification, and the achievement is missing again. And at the time I'm posting this, I just got another new notification, so I imagine said ghost achievement is once again back.

So, anyone know what's going on? I'm not terribly obsessed with achievements, this is just starting to get rather annoying. If this is already posted and covered somewhere, I'm sorry for repeating.

I haven't heard anywhere about it but I'm sure I can tell you what's going on. The admins have reworked the achievements system a bit, added a few new ones, changed a few names slightly and improved the achievement conditions. That's likely what caused the achievement ruckus, had the same happening.

I apologize for tagging on at the end like this -- it isn't really related but I'd very much appreciate it if you could answer my question. I, too, noticed the new achievements requirements. But they confuse me. For example, the Crowd Friending achievement says:

Points for Friends higher than 149 (You have 15 points)

Points for Friends 299 (You have 15 points)

The second score is checked, but the first score is not. I don't have the slightest idea how these things are calculated any more.

Yes I noticed it as well and I might be able to answer your question, as far as I can tell there are 2 word missing:

Points for Friends higher than 149 (You have 15 points)

Points for Friends lower than 299 (You have 15 points)

That's at least what I guess what they're trying, but it doesn't matter whether the points are lower or higher, the condition is always met, so it's just a guess there. It might still be bugged.

Because for the received rating achievements it works just like that.

Th OPs original issue may be because the new achievement is an upgraded older achievement. The way the achievements upgrade, it simply replaces the old icon.

You're probably right. I suppose it's really just simple and they're still working on it but it was completely unexpected and threw me for a loop. Thanks for your help!

All achievements are conditional and as have been previously mentioned they are being reworked by the dev-team. Every time a change is made to an achievement it is awarded again and hence the notifcation. Sorry for the inconvenience there.

The points for friends is that you get 3 points for each friend on your friendslist.

KNC has 5 ppl on his friendslist for instance and thus his 15 points.

Okay the we will work and see what happens.

I like the idea of upgrading achievements.

But i have a question. Do I lose the overdrive achivement after a time?

Or do I get it and have it for a live time?

Okay but i think that it would be nice to become it permanentyl for being in overdrive for about a week or so.

Is this possible?

This.

You get a notification, but the achievement is only upgraded (check out the different achievement icon colours).
