This isn't a problem with the website or forum, but just a question I have. I wasn't sure where else to put it, so if I (once again) picked the wrong place to ask a question, I apologize. ^^;;



Can anyone explain the ranking system to me? The one that lists something akin to a military rank under your user name. For example, right now, I have "Lieutenant Junior Grade." I assumed that it was something that dealt with levels, but I've started noticing people at the same level as me with a different rank, and some people higher than me that have a rank that I think I've already gone through.



This isn't a major issue or anything, just a curiosity I've had digging around in the back of my head for a while. I looked for any thread or post that might describe the feature, but, if it's around I just can't find it. So, if anyone knows how this works, thanks.

The level system and the ranking system are disparate.



I believe that the ranking system goes linearly with your postcount, while the leveling system goes with your experience and can be earned in other ways than posting.

E.g. "Points for beeing the Arm of Law 24" in my profile for giving warnings for infractions.

Ah, okay. I just assumed that the ranking system was related to the level system, as I only noticed changes as I leveled up. Which, as it turns out, does involve more posts...
