I sent an e-mail to contact@amplitude-studios.com with a screenshot, but since it shows my actual CD key, I will not upload it to this post.

I pre-ordered directly on Steam instead of through the website, does that make a difference?

I used Steam's "Copy CD Key" feature, pasted directly into the "Redeem G2G Code:" field on the main website profile edit, but I get an error that the G2G code is invalid. Is the code something different than the CD Key on Steam?

No, it shouldn't make a difference where you buy it.

And you did everything the normal way. Also you seem to have remedied an Admiral edition's code, since your G2G-counter (right beneath your forum name and rank beside your post) shows 600. Did you perhaps try entering it twice, doubleclick or fast reload the redeem site? smiley: wink

I got a notification I got a "Known Individual..." achievement, I guess by getting thread ratings, I thought that was the source of my 500 points. I had 100 points yesterday, 500 today, I did not redeem a code overnight. How do I tell where the 500 points came from?

There's no log entry for that, but it is the display that should link your g2g points and your forum account. You should have only 100 for registering in the forum, additional 500 for the admiral edition or additional 1000 for the emperor edition.

I read that voting on heroes on the website gives G2G points, which I did, but those points did not show up immediately when I did it. Is that 500 points?

No, voting doesn't give points, buying the game does.

Nos explained it pretty clearly how you get G2G points, since you have sent an email to Amplitude regarding this issue you're having I'm sure you'll get an answer soon, so I don't see the point in starting a thread on the forums about it. By the looks of it, it seems to me that the forum had excepted your code, even though it have returned an "invalid code" message. I can't be sure though since you didn't specify what edition you bought, if it is the Admiral one everything seems ok, you have 600 G2G points which is exactly the amount of points you'd get if you have registered and redeemed an Admiral Edition code.

how come then that I've seen people with 1600 G2G points?

(not many, I'd say only a handful guys, but still..)

Did they buy the game 2 times ?

I haven't been able to find a single person with more than 1100 points just now - but buying two copies is a valid theory.

No, those have bought the admiral edition, refunded it, bought the emperor edition and entered that code, too. There is no link between steam and the forum, so it assumed the game was bought twice.

You can spam Steph with those occurances. Then we ask them by PM what they've done and correct that.

Same applies for people with 500 or 1000 points: You should have 100 more, regardless.

Since you got 1100 points I'm definitely sure it worked for you.

The problem seems to be a missing confirmation message, when you redeem your code. Actually, I didn't get one, either, when I redeemed my two achievement codes. smiley: confused
