Recovering auto-saved Posts?

So, I was trying to create a new thread with a lengthy OP. I noticed that these forums have a cool auto-save feature which saves unpublished posts' content in case anything goes wrong. Well, needless to say, something went wrong with my post (I spent too long inactive, tried to re-log in to preview it, and got a blank page). So how do I recover the auto-saved information of my unfinished thread? I really hope it's possible, because I have spent quite a bit of time on it. *crosses fingers*

This happened to me once, but going back restored my new thread. As for the auto-save, I just tried it with this post: I logged out and in again, and it allowed me to restore the post I started to write. I am not sure this works for threads as well though.
