Hi, dear developers.

I`m one of the couple of men who prefer to play DRM-free games. Special for men like me was created market named GOG(Good Old Games). There are many people who like your games there but most of them hate all types of protection even me. At all i think that your games(all) will be really popular between gamer who really like to use this market and prefer to play old games. So what do you think about adding you endless-series to this market? Generally it will show your best side for gamers and increase community of your games. And i would add that there are one important problem that relate with popularity of your game in the territory of my motherland Ukraine... Really a few of my friends and familiar gamers knows at least something about your games. And it`s a trouble i think.

Thank you for attention and waiting for answer. GL!

Not going to happen with a slice of never ever, and a slight sprinkling of nope.

Almost no one buys "DRM-Free" today if a game is on steam - Especially not niche genres like 4X games. And even ignoring that, Steamworks is just too good of a deal to pass on (Free and stable Multiplayer API, Achievements and Workshop all for the price of... Nil!). Paradox Interactive caved to a loud minority demanding a DRM Free version of their most popular game. In the end they couldn't justify it as the sales were less than 7% of the total sales. Nowhere near enough to cover paying someone to keep the separate version up to date, or run two different Multiplayer APIs.

Edit: Also - "DRM Free" is such a misnomer today. Steam is only as restrictive as the Developer/Publisher wants it to be. You can build Steamworks based games that will run without Steam installed - Of course you'll never see an update in your life or get access to multiplayer. But it IS possible. Just ... well frankly silly. If you made this thread in the first place, that means you have access to internet at least once a month - The requirements for running Steam in complete Offline mode.

Dreams do come true! Thank you, Amplitude! You will have yet more of my pennies!

Is it too much to hope for Endless Legend to end up on GOG as well?
