These forums have been hand made to open a privileged channel between members and the Amplitude Studio dev team on our first game called ENDLESS SPACE, including advice, feedback, polls and general gameplay talk. Please keep those posts civil, respectful and constructive – in 3 words - "let's be adults" but no need to keep it too serious neither

This mainly ensures we all can enjoy and benefit from these forums, plus we can more easily collect feedback (be it positive or negative) to make our game better.

To this end, there are specific forum rules covering the sort of behaviour that is and isn’t acceptable here. This is mainly for legal reasons but you can still have a quick look at those. While the general guideline of “Treat others as you would wish to be treated” applies, all visitors must also abide by these rules. If you do not do so your post may be moved, locked or deleted, and may also result in a temporary or permanent ban. Homicide is only a last resort.

Online Safety

We strongly recommend you do not arrange to meet anyone from these forums, there are known psychopaths (myself writing these rules included). Always consult a parent, a guardian or an oracle if appropriate. You should also not give out personal contact details, including real name (oops just did that in "my name is.." thread), phone number, email or home address.

Inappropriate Content

This is more serious stuff: any posts containing profanity, obscenity, insults, racism, personal attacks, accusations, piracy or abusive language will be edited or deleted and will result in a warning or, in severe or persistent cases, a ban from the forum. Racial, religious or sexual slurs are likely to result in immediate banning. We talked about Homicide a little earlier right?

This amazing forum also uses a magical language filter to remove nasty words that we consider inappropriate for use here. Such words will be replaced with asterisks (*) or other weird characters. Working around this swear filter in any way, including using asterisks or acronyms, is still considered "not being an adult", swearing and therefore not permitted. Signatures, avatars, banners, titles, other images and anything linked to these forums must follow these same rules.

This also stands for Political and Religious subjects. PLEASE, don't start discussing those.

Piracy

Be careful when discussing piracy: it may simply result in a permanent ban. Admitting piracy on any title (not only Endless Space or Dungeon of the Endless, etc.)? We will just ban you. Yes.

Links & other websites

We do not allow links that redirect our forums users to torrents, advertising, downloaded cheats, and such. We will not be held responsible for any downloadable content that may damage your game or your PC.

Unnecessary server workload

Threads that are likely to to produce an unnecessarily huge workload on the server (e.g. video-, animated gif- and picturethreads) will be closed. What is "unnecessarily huge"? That depends on the judgement of the moderators.

No Flaming

This includes any kind of personal insult, flame or intimidation. Responding in kind to a flame message is viewed as equally unacceptable, regardless of who started it. If you believe you are being insulted or otherwise flamed by another poster, please PM me rather than responding. This applies to both written text and image posting. There is no need to turn disagreements into heated arguments. Rather than letting these threads become flame wars please agree to disagree or the thread is likely to be locked. Come on guys, we're a big family here

No Trolling

That would be creating threads for the sole purpose of causing unrest on the forums, causing disturbances in forum threads such as picking fights, making off topic posts that ruin the thread, insulting other posters.

No spamming No spamming No spamming No spamming No spamming...

Repeatedly posting the same post or topic in a forum, or across multiple forums, is considered spamming, in case you didn't know . Such posts will be locked, edited or removed. Intentional off topic or nonsense posting is also likely to be considered spam and will receive the same terrible treatment, especially if this takes an existing thread off topic. This applies to both written text and image posting. Ohh and yes don't forget you can use the Edit button rather than making multiple posts in a row.

Any non-Amplitude-related advertising of for-profit organizations or websites on the forums is not ok. If in doubt please contact the moderators before posting and they will help you with a prior judgement.

We do not allow Endless Space/Dungeon of the Endless/other keys trading either: please visit the Steam Trading Forums for that matter.

Stay on target

Please make sure your post is going in the correct forum otherwise it's going to be a huge mess and we'll lose time cleaning everything up rather than creating the game. Threads that are off topic, or become so, may be moved or locked. Yep, we're that crazy!

No bumping

Making short posts made with the sole intention of keeping posts near the top of the forum, or posting several times in a row is called “bumping”, just wanted to make that clear because "bumping" is quite a weird word. This raises forum traffic and clutter unnecessarily and moves more active threads down the page. As such it is not allowed and may result in the thread being lost and persistent offenders may have their posting privileges removed.

Sharing your IP

You may want to be careful with sharing your IP with another forum user. Understand that this is forbidden. We understand that you may live under the same roof as another user, however, keep in mind that this is highly suspicious for us and we would keep an eye on you, especially if you start both posting in the same threads, writing the same way, and if you don't have a key registered (G2G points).

Official Forum Language

As the VIPs come from around the world, we ask that all posts on this board are made in English so we can effectively moderate. We also ask that you avoid “txt spk” (referring to being adults) or posting in all caps as this can be considered rude or make posts difficult to read. The exception of the rule is of course the international sub-forum in which you can post in whatever language you like. That does not however give the right to break any other rule in that forum.

Reporting Posts

If you see a post that you think needs my attention, please report using the specific Exclamation Mark button below the post. While it is not always possible to deal with a reported post immediately, all reported posts will be dealt with accordingly if they require it. Abuse of the reported post system is subject to the same rules as abuse of any other system on this forum, meaning changing your User Title into something like "Celine Dion fan" or xorse.

Where to post your suggestions?

Suggestions in the context of the games2gether-initiative go into the proposals section. Please mind the proposal submission rules there and search if what you want to suggest has been proposed before. Otherwise Nosferatiel will go on a rampage again...

That's all folks!
