This is a good idea, but wouldn't it take away from the entire purpose of the Core Cracker weapon? I've always believed the core cracker is supposed to be used with the knowledge that you permanently remove the planet from play and that there is no way to "undo" this action.

Hmmmm, maybe if it was an exclusive tech, or one only available to those hit by the cracker without having the cracker tech themselves? There's potential in the idea, but balancing may just break it.
I thought it would be fun to have a way to restore and rebuild what some other faction came in and destroyed.
Make it part of a quest to hunt lost tech and rebuild some ancient planet, like Harrow... IDK.. Just a thought... I enjoy adding to the story. I love this game. :) It's the only game I care to play anymore. I love the fiction they've created fleshing out this universe.
