In Humankind: add a spy game. Become a spy master. MI6. CIA. KGB. And the like. Train spies. Recruit traitors in other empires for sabotage missions (up the instability in an enemy city). Send spies to increase your culture influence in an other player. Send spies to gather information and to steal techs. Set up a counter espionage bureau in your own capital. It could be a whole sub-game inside Humankind. There are no spy games at all in general, but it would really fit in Humankind. The early modern and contemporary eras should last a lot longer for this to be interesting, though.
