There are quite some badges to unlock. They do not only provide some sense of achivement or a way to brag to some players but also count as „currency“ for the upvotes.

While most are tied to buying games and unlocking ingame achievements, some reward community involvement. However, some seem to need to get their number corrected, as no one can get them in their current state. 


I think of „influencer“, „writer“, „inventor“, „catalyst“, „mentor“, „investigator“, „facilitator“ and „helping hand“.

They all require 2000 (1000 for mentor) upvotes or followers, something that is only possible in theory. 


A case could also be made for „game changer“ and „smarty pants“ but at least the first levels seem reachable, while for the aformentioned, the 3 level is already out of reach: I've never seen a post with more than 50 upvotes that was not sticked.

I see two options:

  1. change the numbers to be smaller, maybe something like 1, 2, 5, 10, 15, 25, 50, 100 (and this 100 no one will reach)
  2. make it forum-wide instead of per thread
