repair icon showing twice. seen this before, but cant recall if it was also with repair skill or some other.

So far its not a bug. The first icon is a skill from the character, the second, from a equipment he's carrying, in this case, probably, the surviving kit.

true, just pointing out the redundancy. unless they somehow stack, then it definitely would make sense to indicate the doubling.

They stack and having skill icon twice makes it clear, that you have two bonuses, while having only one icon would make you think that you do not gain benefit from item, that should give you some skill.

How does operate stack Altren? Do you get double wit bonus or something?

As far as I understand whenever skill have numerical bonus it stack.

good to know, although stacking repair skill seems of little value. if the absolute max number of skills a character can acquire thru leveling + gear is not too great, that section on the character panel could be divided into "class" skills and gear skills, to clarify the sources and let one know quickly which skills might be lost by switching gear.
