so i bought the dungeon of the endless crystal edition and i know that i'm going to get a ship and a new character but i didn't get anything. Any idea why or do i need to keep playing in order to get the ship and the character.

There's an easy way to check it from your Steam Library: right click on the game's name, select View Downloadable Content, and your various DLCs will be listed.



Otherwise, boot up the game and look at the bottom of your screen in the main menu: if the two icons are highlighted, the content is present, otherwise if they're in muted colors it means you do not own it. See below:
