It's that time of year again: The leaves are falling, as are the video game prices, and Steam is asking for your votes. Of course, we're joining the sale with many of our games, including Endless Dungeon, and we'd love to have your support for Lera Lynn’s and Arnaud Roy's wonderful work on the soundtrack.
From the moment we first revealed the game, people have been telling us how much they love the soundtrack, and these voices have only grown louder with every track we shared. Whether it’s the beautiful songs with Lera Lynn’s vocals played in the saloon, or the atmospheric tunes you hear as you fight your way through the station, the music amplifies the mood of the game.
Our composer Arnaud Roy created the soundtrack for ENDLESS Dungeon with the goal of creating a unique mix between 90’s synthesizers and a progressive rock group. We also wanted to keep some links with the game’s spiritual predecessor, our 2014 title Dungeon of the Endless (DOTE). By combining the iconic synths from DOTE with a guitar lost in space and some groovy drums, we tried to create a Space Western atmosphere that lent itself perfectly to station exploration and epic combat with monsters.
We also had the amazing opportunity to collaborate with Nashville singer-songwriter Lera Lynn, who has worked on shows like True Detective. Lera produced 4 tracks for the soundtrack: Free Again, Endless, Home, and The Garden. They range from beautiful and haunting (Free Again) to more upbeat and optimistic (The Garden).
Personally, we think Arnaud’s and Lera’s work is phenomenal (as always) and deserves an award, and if you agree, remember to cast your vote in the Steam Awards.
If you’re new to Endless Dungeon, or you just have a friend you’d like to play with, you’re in luck, as the game is 20% off for the Steam Autumn Sale from November 21st to November 28th.
Those of you who have been playing for a while will be happy to hear that yesterday’s “On the Rocks” update includes not only a long list of fixes and improvements, but also adds two new beverages to spice up your runs. It’s a great time to kick back, listen to the music, and relax with a nice beverage* courtesy of the resident drakken.
So come on in, enjoy the ambience, and head into the Dungeon for a little brawl!
*Kicking back not recommended when enjoying a Fine Crystal; your lil buddy gets pretty fragile.
