I'm having an absolutely abysmal frame rate whenever I shoot or interact with chests. It'll take three seconds to enact any normal function, essentially making the game unplayable.

I'm running a GS65 Stealth Thin 8RE with an Intel Core i7-8750H CPU. I've played way more taxing games than this.

I tried reducing the graphics settings, but they're locked. Reducing the resolution doesn't help either.

You can try updating your graphics card, and if you have Google Chrome running in the background try closing that. Also you might be able to change the graphics settings through your graphic's cards settings (Radeon Software>Gaming tab, or NVidia GeForce Experience > Games). The game is in development and is known to have performance issues which may affect some machines worse than others. Posting your full computer specs may help the devs identify issues.
