Research machine bug - cost is food and loud scrolling sound

When interacting with the research machine a loud "scrolling" sound plays that sounds like it is speeding up. The cost of items bugs out to be food instead of science. If you let the game play it continuously slows down as the scrolling sound gets faster. Any controls for the character interacting with the research machine do not work except for switching character.

This is the same as this issue that was reported a few days ago. =)

Edit: And the fact that they have Acid Stabber researched further reinforces my suspicion that this is related to a broken upgrade for that specific turret.

I had this same issue occur. I had the Tier 2 basic turret and Acid stabber researched. I left the room from where the research machine was and switched characters back and forth and another research menu appeared and blinked back and forth with the original until the game was unresponsive.
