Getting the Endless Day achievement has nothing to do with playing on the endless difficulty, I just won an endless game but got the achievement from doing the quest for the hero.

You have unlocked the Endless archivist; the being that watches the watchers…

Since I started and beat an endless game I don't think Endless Space 2 gives you an achievement for that specifically.

This is just the regular achievement you get for endless difficulty that can be done anytime without this event.

I'm well over 100 th turn and saw no quest:/

Well yeah. This quest is just appear. If i understand it appear closer to the end of a session. Kinda at the same time with Final Academy Quests.

Turn 50-60 on fast for me.

Nvm. The quest appeared on turn 82 in a normal difficulty game.

many people are asking different question about how to trigger the mission or if you need to start the game with some specific options so I will explain how I got the mission:

I started a new game in normal difficulty, in normal speed (300 turns), and with the United Empire. 4 rivals and the spiral-6 map. It's obvious that you can initiate the new game with whatever the options are (but that was my specific options for this new game).

About 80-90 turns a quest was triggered and I din't even know if that was the quest of the Endless Event (the picture associate to the mission, at first glance, had nothing to do with the one you can saw here) but it was in fact the right quest. It just triggered like any other events or mission, without did something special, maybe it's random. It's a two part quest.
So like you can see there's no specific options or task, you just need to start a new game and be patience.

It's a two part quest. In the quest you need to help a Vodyani hero to defeat some fleet. The picture assosiated to the quest it's predominantly yellow with a hero on it.

For what I experienced playing today there isn't any specific task to do. I started a new game and the quest was triggered like any other events (about 90 turns in my game)

No, I just played on normal difficulty and the mission was triggered about 90 turns

Got the quest by turn 47 on sandbox even.  What I'm curious about is will this hero just pop up with the regular academy assignments or will this two part mission chain be the way to get him in game even after the endless celebration is over?
