Hey everyone!

I had similar problem - got GTX 1080 and whole game (also in main menu) ran only to 21 fps with few seconds spikes to 100 fps (I got 100 Hz monitor - X34), regardless of vsync settings... After some futile fiddling I tried to turn off Gsync feature via Nvidia Inspector and found out this was the whole problem! Now I got stable 100 fps whole time!

PROBLEM IS IN GSYNC FEATURE!!!

I hope this will help someone someday!

Have fun!

Got two more "workarounds" which helped others here : https://steamcommunity.com/app/289130/discussions/0/617320628397380568/

I've found a temporary solution - running a graphically intence programm like MSI Afterburner in the background "ramping up" the gpu and now i get no hitches.

and

347.09 Drivers seems to have helped alot on GTX 970 issues.

I tried this and still nothing changed :(

Still waiting for any new information that might lead to a possible fix.....

I sincerely encourage you to try out the various troubleshooting steps.

Each and every computer system is configured slightly differently - this is why the vast majority of the ~880,000 players (https://steamdb.info/app/289130/graphs/) do not encounter such issues.

Chances are, that you'll still have issues - but then you know that you tried your best.

Chances are also, that you'll manage to get it working and then enjoy this great game ^^

Can you try putting "-force-d3d11" in the Steam launch options?

that did not fix it sadly :( instead i was met with a large pink screen after the first loading screen

We've troubleshooted the "pink screen" issue a while ago : https://www.games2gether.com/endless-legend/forum/13-tech-support/thread/5388-can-t-start-tutorial-and-pink-screen?page=2#thread

The things which helped others were:

- reinstalling both Steam and Endless Legend

- running the game in 32-bit mode

The "pink screen" issue is now resolved but the original problem still stands...

I am already running the game in 32-bit mode because of recommendations from other forums. Maybe that effects something?

Boo, my bad! You're using a "P" series CPU, meaning there's no GPU on it (http://ark.intel.com/products/69114/Intel-Core-i5-3350P-Processor-6M-Cache-up-to-3_30-GHz)

So that's why the option isn't there.

Any chance of trying with clean drivers again? That GTX960 should be plenty for Endless Legend...

I reinstalled the drivers and prayed that it would work. But nothing changed...

Can you try:

- disabling the "depth of field"

- setting the post processing to "medium" or "low"

- trying with VSync either "on" or "off"

?

i have already tinkered with that and nothing changed

Load times are abysmal and I'm getting 2 fps at the main menu. I don't understand why this is happening.

Here are my specs:

GTX 1060

intel i5-6500 @ 3.2 GHz

16gb of RAM

Like what is going on man? I can play many performance demanding games on some of the highest settings without dropping 60 fps....

I've tried changing the properties to having it run in 32-bit mode and even went into my Nvidia control panel and doing all that crap in the 3D settings, but nothing has worked so far......

Can you check what your GPU temperatures are, while Endless Legend is running?

You can use GPU-Z for example : https://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/

I checked and my GPU is at a solid 39 degress. But i noticed that my clock speed did not change at all. So might the problem lie with that?

Yes, it could very well be that the GPU is not getting utilized properly.

But this is usually a driver / nVIDIA control panel issue.

Perhaps using DDU before re-installing the drivers could help - I'm not sure.
