Hello,

did you try verifying the game cache?

  • In Steam select and right click on Endless Legend
  • Select Properties.
  • Select the Local Files tab.
  • Select Verify Integrity Of Game Cache.
  • Once this process is finished click Ok/Done.
  • Exit and fully close Steam.
  • Launch Steam.
  • If you are automatically logged in to your account, please log out of your account.
  • Log into your Steam account.
  • Launch the game.

Cheers!

Greetings All,

Well I dunno where everybody else in this thread went, ha ha, but I'm new to this game, running it on a Mac (full-blown 2017 iMac), and am having this same exact problem. I have the exact same symptoms as described above by everyone else. None of the proposed solutions resolve this problem, including that of icarus86 of a month ago, immediately above. I've installed, uninstalled, reinstalled, unchecked and rechecked all the DLC, verified integrity of game files, on and on and on ...

I contacted Steam Support, and they basically rebuffed me back to Amplitude.

I have already followed all of the advice/suggestions in this thread, all to no avail.

Any chance I might be able to get some genuine assistance here with this?

Thanks in advance!

Just want to echo nemodomi's comments.

Am curious what's the usual time lag here before a response from Amplitude. It appears to be 2-4 weeks. ⏳

Meanwhile, for what it may be worth, I've also been back-and-forthing with Steam Support for over a week about this problem. Their most recent response to me follows.

"I've tested this DLC on one of our Macs, and I'm also not seeing this DLC in the list. Thanks for taking the time to report this issue. I'm forwarding the information on to the appropriate developers so they can take a look at it. If we need additional information we'll reply here.

"While we investigate, please note that you may not receive another response to this help request."

⏳ again.

Same here. Impossible to donwload it.

It would be cool to correct this problem @Amplitude.

Hi, sorry for the inconvenience, it fell off the radar. Please could you check again? I hope the issue is fixed now.

Prolly cuz I persevered with Steam Support and they finally checked out the situation on one of their Macs and then supposedly (per ticket convo) contacted y'all about this. THANKS for getting around to fixing this long-standing problem that "fell off the radar".

While I have your attention, would you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE now put back onto the radar the other, 3-years-long-standing, Mac issue, i.e., the consistent and nerve-racking infamous "100 MINUTE MAC CRASH"? It is thoroughly described (and well-documented) at the following post/thread: OSX BUGS, in which, near the end, two really swell guys (one of whom is me of course :-) ) posted all the necessary files in order hopefully to aid y'all in finally getting this resolved.

Thanks in advance! Don't mean to sound like a b*tch BUT it's just REALLY REALLY FRUSTRATING to read 2-year-old threads about this exact same problem -- see, for example, GAMES CRASHES AT 1 HOUR 40 MINUTES CONSISTENTLY -- that didn't get a single Dev response whatsoever! Via reading that thread you'll see that I'm by far not the only loyal customer who's not exactly tickled by these kinds of oops-off-the-radar "oversights".

Again, thank you if you can please fix this.

Lt_Miles, the fix did not solved the problem for me.

It seems not much players have the problem. Strange.

Hi Jojo_Fr,

Gosh I'm sorry to hear this. Here is what my experience was, in case it might help.

Yesterday morning I opened Steam and tried to open Endless Legend. I had to wait for a complete re-download of the vanilla game -- something like 4GB. I presume that this was an update/upgrade to version 1.7.1 -- see [1.7.1] Symbiosis - Release Notes @ Steam Community. I then opened the game, and took a look at the Content Management screen. Under Add-Ons, Forgotten Love was no longer grayed/dimmed out.

I don't mean to insult your intelligence, not at all, but have you gone through all the usual CYA hoops like restarting your computer and on and on? If so, the only other thing I can think of that might help you is to try uninstalling and reinstalling the game. Again, I reckon you already know all this kinda stuff; I'm just surprised and baffled to hear that your experience was not similar to mine.

Good luck!

Hello, thank you for your answer nemodomi.

You don't insult my intelligence lol.

I did all this : all reinstall, restart computer etc.

Maybe it does not work because my steam is in a special path, like "Steam8". There are ancient steam version installed (which I can't remove from my Program Files folder, NO IDEA why).

Maybe it's the source of the problem ?

Any other people with the same problem ?
