LeaderEnemyBoss, as I said some time ago, finally got a Difficulty mod up and running.

If you have the time/will to take a look at it, I pushed some information regarding the "why" in the mod itself.

Plenty aware you are a bit out of EL modding right now, this post will be my only pressure on the matter :)

Thanks for all your constant work.

hey Ninakoru, i've been using your Endless Heroes mod (cool mod) and just came across your new difficulty mod you released and was thinking about trying it out. i was also wondering though, is your Improved AI mod different or the same as what is used in the ELCP? i didnt read this entire thread but from what i did read i kind of got the impression that your AI mod was integrated into ELCP, is that correct? if that isnt right and there are differences, does it make sense to run them both? i wanted to try but with how the AI changes seem to work with the game i didnt want to risk a potential performance hit due to using both mods in conjuction, not to mention it would be redundant if they are essentially the same.

Hi, anonymous1. Earlier on the workshop page I asked a similar question.

>> How this mod stuck or conflict with ELCP and ELCP Vanilla Balance

Ninakoru wrote:

As the very first line says, is a mod for ELCP or Improved AI, so it's compatible with those, also with Vanilla balance mod. The mod must overwrite difficulty changes on those, just place it with a higher number in the mod load order.

LeaderEnemyBoss,

In ELCP page description says:

Mods

  • The following mods are included and act as a base for many changes I made
    • "Improved AI" by ninakoru (link)

So, recently Ninakoru updated his mod "Improved AI".  Do you planning to upgrade it as a part of ELCP?

Or it is not needed, coz i can simply instal fresh version of "Improved AI" above ELCP?

right. i was actually referring to his Improved AI mod though, not the Harmonious Difficulties mod. im trying to figure out if Improved AI is worth using if your already using ELCP.

Please don't fill this post about other mods, you can ask as much as you want in the steam workshop page :)

I made Improved AI more than two years ago, Leader about one year ago got my mod and greatly improved and expanded the concept covering much more fields and fixing behaviour mistakes and bugs in the core assemblies.

I just updated my mod for fun, also I passed up to Leader some bugs and "major" improvements (on very specific issues) in AI I found during this update, and he included most of that in the latest ELCP versions.

As for how mods work in this game, Is just configuration items that are overwritten with each subsequent mod, so there's not such performance hit using too many mods.

Worth it? Is not a big deal, you will likely not notice any major improvement using Improved AI if you already have ELCP. I have different criteria on many things, and I fine-tuned some AI evaluations, but that doesn't impact AI performance greatly. I do not cover any new aspect of the AI that is not already covered with ELCP.

Improved AI is really worth it for those that don't want to overwrite all the assemblies and files required to use ELCP.

To add to this: I dont know if any mod X is compatible with ELCP, I have no time to test them all manually, you've got to do that yourself or ask the mod creator. I think it's save to say Ninakoru's mods will be compatible, because we communicate with each other. His updated "Improved AI" currently differs only slightly from ELCP's base, so there wont be much difference. This may change if he continues working on it while I stop my development. "Harmonious Difficulties" is ofcourse a completely different beast but will ofcourse still work.

understood, thank you.

been playing with ELCP and a bunch of Ninakoru's other mods (Harmonius Difficulties, Military Revolution, Re-Items and Endless Heroes) and havent had any problems so it seems they're all compatible just in case anyone comes across this thread and is wondering.

So, this is why Mykara is so strong. What's buffed? I've been steamrolled by Mykara 3 games in a row.

Good day. I'm very interesred in this patch, but one question bugging me. How well balance changes scale with game speed? I heard that most MP players prefer fast speed, but me and my friends usually play on normal. So, I wanted to be sure that this patch won't bring some unfair advantages to someone when playing on normal.

I'll be happy to hear someone's opinion.

I was playing as the Forgotten on easy (normal is a bit too tough with CP for me, especially if Cultists are present on a map) difficulty with latest CP. I have all DLCs except Symbiosis.

BUG: So I just clicked "buy a technology" and suddenly it bought all ERA 3 technologies with no money spent at all. :S

ELCP non richiede tutto il dlc

ELCP doesnt require all DLCs to work, it works with any configuration of DLCs
