I guess you could create a lot of quests for example, create a lot of new factions, custom traits, items etc...

The first thing we'll add concerning modding will be a folder called mods where you can put all your mods and we'll be able to select them from the ingame menu, and it will be both in SP and MP, and then you will be able to mod in a "proper" way smiley: smile

Yet you will not be able to change graphics (2d or 3d), nor GUI. These elements should be added later, if we can, as we encounter some issues with unity that we are trying to solve with them. Of course if you find ways to mod these elements today, we would love to know smiley: smile

I've already fallen in love with this game, but if you end up doing all that, I will love you forever. I was a huge fan of the Fall from Heaven 2 mod in Civ4, and more specifically the modmods Orbis and Rise from Erebus with probably 2000 hours in them total, and was really excited to read their discussions of plans for the new total conversion mods that they were going to make for Civ5. But then Firaxis never released what would be needed in order to alter graphics, I guess fearing people would just make mods of all their DLC and cut into their profits. Or something. It's been a few... years? since I last looked into it. The possibility of Total Conversion mods, or even just new factions with custom art, is a huge draw for me.

Heads up, the color part of the mod won't work in its current place. You accidently left the "Palettes" XML file in the simulation folder, it needs to be in the mapping folder to work.

Thanks Kingsguard! The colour part of the mod was just what I needed. And yellow happens to be my favourite colour. smiley: smile

And thanks also to Baleur for pointing out the palette/Mapping.

Could you post the segment of the XML where you added the faction colors please? I would love to make that change without the other modifications. Thanks in advance!

You accidentally had the file Palettes moved away from the Mapping folder. Moving it back solves it.

Noting this for any others who had issues getting the new colors smiley: smile

Well, I really love EL and as you can see im already modifying the source XML files to have the best experience ever smiley: redface

I thing this could be interresting to share what I changed and why :

-3 new colors, Black/White/Yellow, for fun mostly and more color diversity...

-Big Armies traits for every factions, it means bigger battles

-Doubled the number of unit graphic for units (6 units representated instead of 3 for Settlers or militias for example, 12 instead of 6 for most of the basic units), for more epic scale !

-Added Tier 1 Weapon unlocked tech for Broken lords at start and +10% dust trait as they were really too weak...

Thats all at the moment, its a very few thing, but I will do alot more when Mod support will be released.

If anyone interrested, I will start making some Traits soon, I can upload the files or else, I will keep it for myself smiley: mrgreen

As some of you asked me by PM, here is the mod : http://2zzegfwnn4.1fichier.com/

Extract it in your "Public" folder in Steam/SteamApps/common/Endless Legend

Enjoy smiley: wink

At the moment you can easily "mod" in a dirty way everything linked to gameplay, including some AI stuff as well.
