Hey dudes,

I had the same issue. I could not find any help for it online so i tinkered with it all night and this is what I came up with. I upgraded to Windows 10, then I noticed that when I tried to start a new game it would crash at the networking stage. So I tried all the crap proposed for example, got to 32 bit, change firewall access, blah blah. Long story short the problem was windows 10 changed my documents folder to read only. I opened properties, under sharing, clicked share, add everyone, apply, ok. Then it started working. So apparently Windows 10 locked it out of the documents folder to write new games. I unlocked it. Hope this helps. I am going to sleep finally.

Thanks for the confirmation, I've added this to the troubleshooting thread as a workaround!

Correct, I can create new games as long as I use one of those command line options.

So you're not experiencing the problem at all? Were you able to consistently create new games?

Both of these workarounds worked for me.

Try the following workarounds!

Add the command line option “-useembedded” (Properties on “Endless Legend” in Steam client library, and “Launch Options”) and launch a new game (don’t load Tutorial).

Add the command line option “-useshellexecute” (Properties on “Endless Legend” in Steam client library, and “Launch Options”) and launch a new game (don’t load Tutorial).

Note that you cannot use both commands at once. You need to test both but not at the same time.

Report on the success or lack thereof of the method above, and let us know if it helps.

Thanks!

You're one of the few who's attached anything so far, which helps. Can you tell us if you've tried the workarounds above and whether they helped at all?

Hey guys, we're still working on this. We are aware that this is not an agreeable situation, but there are a couple of things you can do to help us try and resolve the issue:

1 Don't forget to add your log files!

Player.log (via the OSX Console) - ~/Library/Logs/Unity/Player.log

Diagnostics.*.html - ~Library/Application Support/EndlessLegend/Temporary Files/

Thanks, I will forward this to the dev team.

If others have logs/diagnostics, feel free to post them too as they can also hold relevant information! smiley: smile

Hey guys,

Sorry about the lack of response on this thread. I addressed a few others on the same subject. Basically, our producers will be needing the following elements to help them look into the issue:

Player.log (via the OSX Console) - ~/Library/Logs/Unity/Player.log

Diagnostics.*.html - ~Library/Application Support/EndlessLegend/Temporary Files/

Thanks!

Same here, I have tried a work around that I saw somewhere else to no avail. The message I get now is:

NotImplementedException: The game creation process has failed.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

GameClientState_LaunchGame.GameService_CreateGameComplete (System.Object sender, Amplitude.Unity.Game.CreateGameCompleteEventArgs e)

Amplitude.Unity.Game.GameManager.OnCreateGameComplete (Amplitude.Unity.Game.CreateGameCompleteEventArgs e)

Amplitude.Unity.Game.GameManager.CreateGameAsync_CoroutineExceptionHandler (System.Object sender, Amplitude.CoroutineExceptionEventArgs args)

Amplitude.Coroutine+c__Iterator98.MoveNext ()

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

V1.2.2 S3 (32-bit)

Which I see now is the same as above... I just bought this game after speaking with a friend from the opposite coast and was really excited at the prospect of playing him in a 4x....

Anyone know what the average turnaround time is from the devs at amplitude? It has been over a week and no one from the dev support has even left a comment. Not a good sign....
