Anyone who has more than one monitor can't play full screen without disconnecting all but one. No, this isn't a switchable graphics issue, so asking "have you tried [linktopostaboutgfxCardStatus]" isn't helpful, and shows that you didn't bother to actually read anything I wrote. Amplitude isn't ever getting another dime of my money. Congratulations on pissing off your user base.

Here are the requested files.

When I switch to fullscreen, the screen goes black, music keeps playing and I still got your cursor. I need to cmd q to recover.

If I do it with cmd + F the game restarts in windowed mode, if I do it from the settings I need to edit the xml file to toggle the fullscreen flag to false.

Thanks a lot

Physically removing one of my 2 graphics cards resolves the crash, but that clearly isn't an option. As Steam won't handle refunds, how do I get my money back for this broken game?

same problem here:

fullscreen mode go all black

mac pro 5.1 (2010, ati5770)

and window mode is fine.

Maybe the DMProxy-Info will help the developers to fix this bug

Same issue here, fullscreen mode goes blank but the game is still running, based on the audio. I have to edit the xml settings file to get back to windowed mode, it doesn't seem to revert by itself as you'd expect.

Could we get an update on this issue ? It's really annoying... Endless Dungeon had the same issue on launch but it's fixed since 2 months...

Hi there,

Can you give us more details on your Mac OS version? Have you tried updating to the latest graphics drivers?

Thanks

The game pisses Mac users off ! It simply doesn´t work as a 4x game should. And no bug fixes during all the months

My guess is that a decision has been made to not spend resources fixing the bug. Can i get a refund through steam if this is the case? I'm finding it difficult to play windowed and i purchased assuming it would be able to work in fullscreen.

Same problem here. However, it will take you about 2 seconds to fix the bug. In the player settings in Unity, change the Mac full screen mode from "capture display" to "full screen window". This is what you use for Endless Space, and it works fine. Please don't use "capture display" for any games until such time as Unity fixes the issue (consider submitting a bug report to them about this). I'll send you my consulting bill. smiley: wink

Changing "capture display" to "full screen window" will get rid of not being able to tab out as well. I've tried to switch to windowed mode but I can not select the game window to confirm the change and it times out back to full screen. Leaving me only 9 seconds to get what ever I need to get done, done. Issues related?

Isn't it Cmd-Tab?

(It doesn't work either by the way)

It's a wrapper problem I Suppose...

I've had this same "fullscreen is blank but windowed mode works fine" problem in a few different Unity-based games, so I set out to get to the bottom of it. Turns out it's been a known issue for years: http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/mac-os-fullscreen-problem-retina-display.217858/

I convinced the developers of another Unity-based game, Ziggurat, to change their "MacFullscreenMode" setting to "FullscreenWindow" in the Unity build settings. This fixed the problem in Ziggurat, I can now play in fullscreen, and I have no doubt it'd fix the problem in Endless Legend as well. Hopefully somebody at Amplitude sees this and is willing to try it out. I don't know why Unity hasn't just removed this option yet, like they state they were going to in that Unity forum post.

I'm having the same problem. At the moment I'm using the -popupwindow steam setting to play the game on my second monitor in fullscreen mode. But it isn't the same, I always see the menu bar. Could someone tell me how i get to the Unity player settings?

That's right. The drivers are updated every time you update your OSX, regardless what Mac you're using.

I am not at home right now, but I already posted an excerpt from Player.log beofre in this post :

Switching to 1920 x1080 failed! Trying second best guess.

My Mac does not have dual GPU so the workaround proposed is a no go. I have only one GPU, a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 2048 Mo.

Thanks for the update, I'll send you the diagnostic.html file tonight.

Hi.

My game also goes completely black in fullscreen mode. I ticked off the fullscreen box in options inside the game and after that I can't get out of it again.

I have a mac pro with a ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024 MB graphics card. Running OS X 10.9.5 Mavericks.

Any suggestions?

Best regards

you can edit this xml file to de-activate fullscreen

~/Library/Application\ Support/Endless\ Legend/Users/[xxxx]/Registry.xml

I updated to 10.9.5 and the latest Nvidia drivers but the issue remains.

Same here. It does go to full screen when .xml is modified but the screen is blank. One does not manually update drivers on a mac; it is done automatically after each general update.

Hello,

I'm having the same black screen issue.

My specs are :

Macbook pro mid-2010

Nvidia GeForce GT 330M 512 Mo

4 Go RAM

OS X Mavericks 10.9.5

Details :

When i was running the game on my macbook monitor with a resolution of 1680x1050, i did not have any problem. I could turn the game in full screen and that was working.

I received this morning a new monitor with a resolution of 1920x1080 which i now use as principal monitor.

When i launch the game it automatically goes windowed mode. But as soon i enable full-screen mode, it goes full black and i'm forced to press cmd/alt/esc to exit the issue.

Also, an alt/tab option would be welcome in full-screen.

Thanks for your work.

Regards,

Aelawen

Hey,

I'm stuck in the fullscreen mode which just is a big black screen that I can't command tab out of. I've tried changing the registry file to say Fullscreen False, but it never said true to begin with. I have deleted and reinstalled the game like 6 times hoping to reset the settings but to no avail either. I can't find any other answers on any forums after a long search. Is there anything else I can do?

Hi,

I have the same problem on my Mac pro (late 2013).

In full screen mode, the game is black with just a mouse cursor on the screen and the music. I must kill the game (cmd-alt-esc) to exit.

No problem in windowed mode.

I'm not the only one with this issue.

Please are you working on resolving this ? We don't want to play in windowed mode only smiley: frown

Hello there,

I apologize for the late answer.

At the moment, we have a found a workaround for your issue: link

If it doesn't work, could you please give us the files below in .zip:

- Player.log (via the OSX Console) - ~/Library/Logs/Unity/Player.log

- Diagnostics.*.html - ~Library/Application Support/EndlessLegend/Temporary Files/

Thank you.

Boardless windowed mode :

1. hide dock and bar.

2. Open Steam (not big picture). Click on LIBRARY. Right-click on Endless Legend and open Properties. In the first tab (General), click on "Set Launch Options...". Type "-popupwindow"
