I have been very much loving this game, and I signed up to this forum so I could request a feature I've been thinking about for a long time.

I thought of a new information screen that could be added to the buttons in the top left: Encountered Minor Factions

I can never remember what bonus each minor faction gives when assimilated, and it is only displayed to the player in-game when the faction is first encountered, or when the player chooses to assimilate a faction. And on this latter occasion, the player only gets details on the minor factions that are within their territories and available to assimilate. If the player wants to find out what bonus a minor faction will give them in a region they are thinking of colonizing, they are out of luck.

So I suggest a screen that has a similar structure to the Cities list screen. It could list all the regions the player has so far discovered, displaying which minor faction is present in each (if this is known), what bonus that faction gives, and the number of villages present (if this is known). As the game progresses and the major empires colonize regions, the region entries on the list could become colour-coded, with the status of minor faction villages being updated (pacified, destroyed, converted, etc.). Of course I suppose this village status info should only become updated when the region is within the player's vision-range.

Don't know how easy or difficult this idea (or some variant of it) would be to implement for the developers, but I just wanted to offer this heartfelt suggestion, as I wouldn't feel satisfied with myself if I never said anything!

At first I was thinking that the assimilation screen covers this... but as you point out, that's only for regions you settle and maybe a faction you don't have control over yet might give you enough incentive to settle that region if you wanted their bonus! Plus perhaps the ability to "view" their faction unit as well, since I don't think you can do that until the faction is actually assimilated.. unless it's in the market at the time xD

I've been missing such a screen many times myself. By now, I know the bonuses by heart for the most part, but new players will have a lot of trouble. It certainly doesn't help that the "encyclopedia" option just opens in a browser instead of an in-game window.
