Bonus Stacking

I notice that % reductions in building cost/production stack additively. For example:

Buyout Reduction

Prisoners, Slaves and Volunteers 25% buyout reduction + Economy and Population Level II 25% buyout reduction = 50% buyout reduction.

Production Cost Reduction

Science and Production Level II 33% building cost reduction + Benemoth Tamer Level II (levels are additive as well) 24% building cost reduction + Growing Buildings tech 25% building cost reduction = 82% building cost reduction.

Also potential 5% building reduction per Urces village. If your lucky to have 3 plus the reductions above that would amount to a 97% building reduction cost.

Buyout also benefits from building cost reduction so that can end up being an absolutely huge reduction when combined. This has great impact upon certain aspects of the game, such as wonder building ecsp. for Wild Walkers.

Now I'm not asserting outright that this is bad or imbalanced, after all most races have access to these reductions ecsp. the buyouts. However, I believe these reductions have a large snowballing effect on the game escp. since the most important ones are available simultaneously at era II. Furthermore the large impact it has only the early game turns these techs and plans into a 'Must Get' and thus reduces the variety of techs researched and plans taken.

There are several obvious problems with EL e.g. certain techs, skill trees, buildings are not worth getting either because they are too niche or less valuable then the must get technologies. I realise the devs are hard at work releasing new content and I am very excited for the new expansion pack coming up because EL is one of my favourite games that I play with my friends (and on a side note, a lot funner than civ). My question is this: Are the devs still working on balancing the game and in what aspects (races, skill and tech viability), and whether they consider bonus stacking a problem worth altering.

Thank you for reading.

I am not sure if there is an issue with the bonus stacking or with the underwhelming tech that is supposed to be competing with the necessary tech.  The same issue arises with the potency of the current winter tech, namely Winter Boroughs (extremely OP) and Ice Works (OP with adequate water tiles).

Now that Tempest is out, I am hoping for a big balancing patch that covers both Shifters and Tempests content, as well as addressing issues with the older tech.

About a balance patch, it's a dream, a wish I think. But, if the devs really want to work on that, I want to say that I am available to help.

They got some experience in their domains, but this experience cannot match the hundred of hours of playing of the experimented multiplayers which the game has (as Grinder, BigBalls or Light Spectrum for exemple).
