Is there any chance of having weather occur on the land masses?

In my opinion it could be a "tamer" distribution of weather (ie lower percentage of overall affected tiles compared to ocean) but I think the weather should affect land and continents.  Or not.

After playing through a full game as the Morgawr, I was curious as to what the community's opinion is.

The percentage of ocean tiles effected can be a little annoying (30 seaweed tiles that you just have to cross... in winter) , so yes I would like land based weather, but it would have to be a lower percent. Or myabe even just quest based/ effected storms.

I think land-based weather would be interesting.

It would have to be dialed back or altered slightly though. A storm toppling a fleet out at sea, I can imagine easily. The same thunderous lightning wrecking a stack on land is slightly harder to see, even if it is milder damage. Only way I can see it in my head is Broken lord's acting like lightning rods out in a field.

On the bright side, rain works pretty much out of the box as a straight conversion. Seaweed could be equally as troublesome under the guise of "overgrowth". Although I'm not sure we really want more movement penalties when we already have cliffs, forests etc.

I would like to see some weather on land-masses, though limited to certain effects. For example, Fog and Rain work well, both for combat and strategic movement. Turbulence and seaweed would ahve to go (though a movement penalty could exist as a "snowstorm" in winter), and I'm a little torn on the issue of lightning.

Though it sounds nice, I would like to have the current issues addressed before over-complicating things ^^
