If you attack AI with superior forces, he will retreat, and will lose half of his health.

But on the next turn, he will attack himself, weakened by army (army lost (due to retreat) health. That's stupid! It is better to fight at once.

P.S. I Hope, I wrote understandable (use online translator). And if the claims of bodies, requests for improvement (not the introduction of new and improvement of existing) need to write in another forum - let me know which one.

Yes, I confirma IA army retreats every time then attack the turn after.  I donn't remember this issue happened so often before Tempest.

This behavior drives me absolutely apeshit, except it seems to happen every time I attack the enemy, regardless of whether or not I have a superior army. I have to come to expect, in fact, that I can take on a superior force if I have to, because the enemy will *always* be at half health in every battle, as long as I attack them first. I can even provoke the enemy into a retreat by attacking them with one or two units I had garrisoned in a nearby city, then attack them with my main force immediately afterwards, in order to benefit from this exploit.

Combine that with the ability to starve out every garrison with the fortification glitch they dropped last patch, and this game has basically zero challenge right now, on any difficulty.

The latest patch didn't help with this bug at all. The game has not always functioned like this - it seems this suicidal and very stupid retreat-attack behavior was introduced in Tempest or the first big patch (1.5.6?) after that.

Please devs, fix this issue - it's maybe the one of the two worst issues in the game at the moment (the poor AI army composition, always being tier1 + minor being the second issue).

I see this issue all the time. Really, the AI should evaluate their chances when you attack. If they like their chances, they should fight. If they don't, they should retreat and then run away to heal somewhere. Amplitude, please fix this before Endless Legend support winds down.

Bump. Why isn't this thread in bugs subforums?
