Hey Guys!

First off, i'll compare a lot of things with Sid Meiers Civilization in this Thread. I know this is kind of a bad comparison, due the fact that both games do have their own different Focus, but in the End they have some similarities.

What i missed a lot, was the missing set of Parameters which you usualy get from a external Source like: "Religion" or "Ideology".

The Empire Plan is... not satisfieng enough tbh. I mean one thing Amplitude did avoid with just using a simple "policy plan" was, that there is actually no useless point in the Empire plan. Not like CIV 5 where 60% of the Religion Pantheons are below garbage, or the poltic trees which are useless due the fact that you get your way more profitible ideoligy trees after completing 2 or 3 of the Basics.

I mean you have the Dynamic designed Map, which provides Tribes, which you can assimilate, but there is thing as no Political clue behind it, such as a "world congress", where you "could" get another delegate, with assimilating, or access exclusive Science and Buildings! (e.g: if you assimilate the Kazanji which are generating Energy through Fire, you could get access to a Building which allows you to ignore the effect of Winter for the City closest to the Tribe of the Kazanji. I know this is kind of OP but you know this just an Idea :'D or simply a fire bow which does DOT) And why does the Influence per Round does not increase with the ammount of assimilated minor Factions? Ok due the fact that you can have only 1 assimilated Faction till Age 4, it wouldnt be a big difference Anyway :'D. But i hope you guys understand my Points! It doesnt really have to be a ideology and its hard to make a good balanced "religion" or "ideology" or maybe just a "mindset" you know. Giving your Leader a psychology! making them more rational or maybe more aggresive, giving small but still game changing bonuses on research, attack or population.

The Fights are like a Game in a Game. Its just Awesome how you have a little XCOM in your Civ :'D!

Tbh. Endless Legend does really feel like an RPG, like really :'D! The Quest loot is a little RNG, which does kill a bit of the strategy, but you cant avoid that its just how it is. But at all it does a really damn good think in making atmosphere. The Music by FlyByNo is just Perfect and matches the way Amplitude designed the whole "Endless"- Series. Marterial Design - combined with soft Colours and a beatiful warm shading - Eye Candy.

I mean i would recommend, and i did recommend this Game a lot, but it sometimes feels Simple. Especially when you had an Round of Civilization Before.

(reclaimer: maybe a lot of the things changed already. I played a shitload of Endless legend, but its a bit back in the past :'D)

In case you assimilated the Kazanji minor faction, you can increase the influence per round, i.e.

The bonus stacks from one up to five villages per minor faction(s). You wanna have more, right ?

The requested "special items / buildings" you get from research and quests, regularly,  but you wanna have more, right ?

By the way, you can assimilate the second minor faction at tech area II ("Native District"), the third one at tech area IV ("Cultural Indoctrination").

Nah nah, i mean that you get increased influence from every Minor faction. The Kazanji is the only one with the 5% Bonus.

I talk about, if you Assimilate a faction, your total Influence to the World increases (its just logical). Quest related tech such as advanced extractor and so on, are little too RNG to make a strategy out of it.

If there were Faction related science and Buildings, then i would actually go and research more assimilatons in the tech-map.

You have to get to Era II -> build a Unit -> Make a Quest or Pay some Dust to get a Moderate strong Unit and a pretty minor boost.

Id rather skill the Race related stronger Unit you usualy get in Era II and spend the production into raising Population.

And there is no Room for Strategies! I mean rushing scouts to find a certain group of factions to assimilate to get a Science which just perfectly fits into your Gameplan.

The problem is, if you want great combat with complex class system and a really tactical focus. Age of Wonders is the better pick

If you want a complex Strategy game, where it really does feel like you build a City from Scratch.  Civilization is the better pick

Its perfectly in between.
