suggestion for the exploration

the exploration seems a bit monotonous as the only events you go to look at the hero. I would suggest putting some random encounter type the barbarians in Civilization or enemies that appear and you have to fight to get experience or magical bonuses.

But... there are roaming armies on the map. And the auriga ruins give you quests.

Minor race units are more like free XP units at present and offer no threat apart to a wandering settler which got me once lol..

Wandering minor race units are going around in too small numbers and cannot deal with range units due to they specialist nature.

Have you seen Pan's videos? Minor faction races will decimate smaller starting armies and even some later game armies but If you put some equipment on your units you should be able to handle them fairly well. However they still pose a huge threat to ANY wandering units and are not to be taken lightly.
