I've just had a quick go since the patch, and I noticed the following :



Playing as broken lords, with 5 AI

1) All 5 AI are also broken lords (I thought the default setting was a random nation pick?)

2) By the end of era 1, all 5 of the AI's declare war on me (I didn't do anything specific to antagonise them, at least as far as I am aware).

3) In spite of a large numerical advantage, they are unable to make any progress:

- If I ungarrison my city defences (with 1-2 units) the AI will not siege me but instead attack me, and with my city defences I am virtually invincible (which is quite normal if my walled cities are attacked without any preparation or siege gear).

4) The AI does send bigger armies than before (size 4-6), though no backup forces so far.



I'm aware that the AI is still very much work in progress, though I'm slightly more concerned that a settler can build a walled fortress in 1 turn. Perhaps a more progressive defence bonus is called for, with added bonuses depending on faction traits and terrain?
