Don't you think there aren't enough of them ?

It's just too easy to get them all (feels like pokemon smiley: stickouttongue) !

And there aren't enough buildings to have meaningful choices. So more buildings would help to create hard choices.

i would definitely support more buildings to contribute to the defense of your city, not enough of them right now.

Definitely need both greater building specialization (unfeasible to build them all), and more buildings overall.



Either more techs, multiple buildings per tech, or some sort of common pool of buildings (not tech requirement, era only maybe.

I don't want to see too many techs and I think the overall number is good. The Pokemon feeling comes from the requirement to research most of the techs in each age.

Like in Master of Orion 2, there should be hard choices between techs and requirements to have a number of techs in each tile to reach the next era.

Well, the penalties are already in - each improvement costs you an amount of dust. More improvements in small city = negative upkeep, which is bad.

I forgot that MoO2 did the 1 tech choice per field thing in terms of research, unless you had the race trait which unlocked all of them. Of course, the other technologies of that field could still be obtained, just by other methods, like by espionage or by diplomacy.



I'd kind of like to see something similar in EL. Dalwin has also mentioned locking the Eras after the 10 things you research to reach the next era and I quite like this idea. It would make for some more interesting interactions between factions in terms of diplomacy (both sides could have valuable tech), make searching ruins that much more useful, and perhaps, add a level of espionage that a game like ES missed.

Of course there is not enought of them. And some of them are not working (like diplomacy, sea, roads, trade) and that is something to look forward.

I suppose we can start with making sure that each tier, each quadre have 6 techs inside to begin with, and add some more which will seem needed.
