Good posts I agree all of them. For army I wish also you can go back and fourth between all different fights during a turn so turns move along quicker.

Something I would like to see, but might not be implemented, is a single-player hot-seat mode. I have a friend who doesn't own a computer (long story) and seems interested, so it would be fun to be able to play like that.

Also because it would be fun to play against myself...

I'm sure you know that you can click on the number (bottom right) that sends you to each movable stack.

In any case, some improvements need to be made. The AOW3 scheme is fine. All troops are in the list until you tell them to fortify. Newly produced troops in a stack take them off fortify. All very simple

One thing that annoys me is that you have to find your unit(s) every turn to give them movement orders. If you do not, they'll just sit there. I'm like a broken record but in Civ V the game will cycle to your units and force you to give them some order even if it's just to fortify.

Also, the game doesn't force you to give city build orders. If you forget, it will just let you press next turn over and over and you're city will just sit there not doing anything. Again, the Civ V system should be instituted in EL.

I agree with 2 to 6. 1 could be useful but honestly when creating a city you mostly look at the bigger picture : what tile do I touch now, what tiles will I touch with just some additional districts. So the very initial total is not that important.

About luxury/FIDS stack : no I don't need a confirmation popup each time I want use them. I already have to pick a city to use them to. Let use disable that message.

I agree with points 1 and 5, absolutely. I am neutral on 2 and 3.

4 already exists but there are problems with it. When you are in city view there are next and previous buttons, but the list doesn't wrap on itself. Also it doesn't take you to the same city view of the next city but rather to the strategic map centered on that city. You then have to click into it.

You really want to stay in city view when cycling through cities. You are likely doing something like reviewing the production settings on all cities and want to tweak science in several, or review all garrisons or whatever. Yes, some of these can be done from the city management overview in the top left of screen. Others like checking to see if any of your cities forgot to build the public library, can only be done by cycling through the cities.

As to point 6, I think their are enough major tweaks still needed for the combat system that adding more info to the deployment phase is low on my priorities.

Hello, everyone! Hello, Amplitude!

Some little introduction:

I've spent some hours in this amazing world of Endless Legend, learning it, preparing for game translation and simply enjoying of playing. If I say, that I've liked this game, It will be a lie. It's very beatiful and attractive, thanks for it!

So, for helping developers make game even better, I'm starting this thread, where I'll post my opinions and suggestions, and this post will be keeped updated with new ones. I hope, it will be useful

Come everyone for discuss!

1. Everytime you are about to build new city, you have to calculate all total FIDS income, that your city will get after building. Really frustrating to do it again as you move cursor. Window, that shows total FIDS income, would be very useful.

2. Army move confirmation. When you accidentally click RMB, your army begins to move immediately. I think, one more click on the distination tile will be enough. UPD: this feature should be optional. UPD: this feature should be optional.

3. Button for cycle through every army, not only idle ones.

4. Button for cycle through cities.

5. Notification of luxury boost ending.

6. Improvements for army deployment screen. We need window, that shows turn queue, so then we could use some tactis. Because at now we are fighting like blind ones - we can't see enemy troops' stats.

And one more thing: highlighting of tiles that are available for deployment. I have ordinary $100 LCD and can barely see, where I put my troops. Would like them to be more contrast or have some patterns (stripes, smaller hex inside, star etc.)

Here, on early versions screenshot, highlighted tiles are perfect. Why not come back to this?

7. Some improvements for battle mechanics and UI. Players cannot send their units to tile occupied by their units? During the siege, units even aren't allowed to leave city's and districts' tile in a deployment phase, so player absolutely can't set them to proper position. Ability to rearrange units with same initiative would be perfect addition for tactical possibilities of battles.

8. Idea for making Vaulters' teleportation a bit comfortable.

9. Great idea about notifications by Anto

10. Additional button for academy screen, maybe?

11. smiley: warning NEW! I found, that proper using of battlefield height levels can be very powerful tool. So these ideas, I think, will help player with tactical planning of a battle, making it bit comfortable. So I offer this.

Civ V has a great interface. It's probably the best I've seen for a 4x game. I think they should borrow whatever they can from that game for EL. It can only make what seems to be a pretty great game already, better.

I would disagree here. I feel less clicks is better. Yes, this leaves the possibility of mistakes but I think for me I'd prefer one click movement.

1. Yeeesss please. Good picture.

2. Yes as a tickbox option. I barely ever do this though, so I'd leave the option off.

3. Yes

4. Yes

5. Yes

Hotkeys for 3 and 4 too ideally.

Buy the time you reach the limit the game would already be in full swing and wouldn't seem like that much of a big deal.

Also this game really needs to allow players to move in extra troops in a battle. Or at least allow them to enter your own territory once a battle starts. I have a full army just right outside my territory that enemies are invading. I only have one guy to fighting off 3 invaders.

1. The minor factions imo are not just units but primarily the bonuses and those add up. 3 races out of 16 is almost 20%. And those are 3 additional units you get and developers intend for unit templates to be limited. I think you look at those faction from different perspective than developers intended.

Let's look at the Earth history and how many multinational countries really existed? Only ones that come to mind are Roman Empire, Ottoman Empire and British Empire. British empire wasn't really assimilating other cultures into their country but just exploiting them economically and focusing on controlling only major trade centers. Ottoman Empire also didn't "assimilate" them but only taxed them and let them live (maybe not other nationalities but other religions). The good example in my opinion of the system would be Roman Empire as they used other nations as mercenaries and have them as part of the empire but as inferior members. Look how it ended. Overextension and having mostly strangers serving in their armies was their downfall.

Here it would be even worse as it would not be only cultural difference but those are completely different race. And those factions are in my opinions a client races of your empire so I can't really back the logic of assimilating half of the minor factions. And you not simply conquer them, you have to get them to work with you (either by earning their favour or by force).

I feel like even if you say forget the immersion and logic, I still think they should not work like another type of strategic/luxury resource you aim to put "extractor on" at some point.

2. I believe reinforcement is possible in game but you need to have forces in range before your army is attacked not bring them in after notification pops up.

That said I would say that it would be interesting to have racial bonus that allowed you to add additional minor factions to your empire (one or two max). I'd also make it available as a trait that can be picked during creating custom race that would be independent of major race feature... (not like Broken lords no food focus, but like necrophages -1 food on tiles)... I hope my explanation is kind of understandable.

I agree with all but second one. Unless it is added as an option in the menu I see no point in this. The amount I r-clicked by mistake wouldn't even close to frustration of having to double click on every order I give.

Notification of luxury boost ending, and the option to continue it if you have enough resources. Yes please.
