When release comes, slow down science research by 400%. Right now the ages are literally lasting no time at all making it too easy to miss the whole point of researching certain things.

Ages tend to last about 50 turns...not 10.



However, it is true that the tier 1 equipment stuff is virtually useless. It will never be the first thing you research (requires extractors, and other tier 1 economic bonuses are necessary getting your empire started). Why not just have it unlocked from the start (except for possibly accessories?) Then, as soon as you unlock extractors you can start getting units, rather than having to research another tech as well.

I'm in support for this, while I feel that Eras last the perfect amount of time in most cases I've come to learn that researching the tear 1 glassteel and titanium armours and weapons is useless and that research should be spent on other researches.



I don't think we should just remove those researches from the game though, I feel they should be replaced by something else so that we still have the same base amount of techs as opposed to two less.
