I'm enjoying playing so far and I will try to write detailed "first impressions" later but so far there is few features I'm desperately missing.



1. If the minor village gives me a quest to conquer other village in "nearby region" I'd like to at least know which region it is. As it is now you can be lucky and find it in 5 turn but you may as well spent 20 and don't find it.



2. One separate autosave for turn 1 (world creation) that will not be overwritten as long as I don't start new game.



3. In the faction selection screen if I choose the color other faction is using they should swap. I shouldn't be forced to first chose unused color for faction B to choose color that I want for my faction.

It is not just the minor village quests but also some story line quests that do that. They tell you the name of the region but that gives you no idea where it is. I'd be satisfied if they gave me a simple north or east as a general idea of where that region is located. Even in Medieval times, the average European might not have had a good idea of exactly where China was but they knew it was somewhere off to the east.

These are not top priority, but damm they are good one. Nice ease of use selection. Some of them i found annoying to (quest not naming region).

As we talk about small stuff what about removing "come back to vilage to turn in the quest". This one is undermining the effectivness of parley over kill'em'all, and is not exiting at all.

Espically when Winter strikes just as you start making the trek across two regions back.

That is why most of the time my first buy is Vaulters hero. Not only it is killer with any bow (to the point of one shooting any unit) but that 2 extra movement points are wonderful. It makes exploring and questing somewhat "enjoyable".



Back on topic I think I am at 30+ turn of searching city to conquer for Broken lords 5th quest. The most frustrating thing is I managed to uncover 6 regions and I have 2 that potentially can be it. The catch is they are exactly on the opposite sides of those 6 already eliminated regions. I'm on turn 161 and tbh I see no good way of doing this quest that saving and reloading if I choose wrong direction. Even with 6 points of movement I will probably waste another 10-20 turns. I could simply conquer everything with 4 units in tier 3 titanium armor/weapons but where is fun in that? I really want to finish that quest but it is getting really frustrating really fast.
