Since once your empire grows larger the notifications can be an important shortcut to making the game easier to play there is one change to these I would like to see. That is the notification that one or more of my units has gained a level. This should include only existing units and not newly built ones.



Once you reach era 2, every unit is built at a level higher than 1. This is automatic and not noteworthy, yet a message pops up for each newly built unit. This is entirely redundant since you will also receive a message that you completed construction. These unneeded extra "promotion" messages only serve to get in the way of your actual promotions.
