The fact that you can only give one order for each combat phase even though it consists of two turns is a bit irritating to me. For instance, when moving a unit, I can not specify the exact route it should take during these two turns. My suggestion would be to allow to assign two consecutive battle orders with shift for each phase. This would allow for more fine grained control while sticking to the original idea of battles.

Also, there should be a way to order a unit to move to a tile currently occupied by another unit (because the other unit will likely move). Currently this is impossible.

I believe the devs have said they will be allowing for multiple ways to control the phases of combat. One of them will be 1 turn at a time, so you'll have control over where your units move each turn.

I am asking for one step futher. In one order:

"Move there, attack this hex." could be with SHIFT.

Reason: Sometimes i want to move my range unit to be in range, and then hit this particular hex or unit.

Or Move melee (cavalry) beyond enemy lines and hit THAT particular hex.

Of course if the enemy got killed it could free the order and move unit to semi auto mode.

However right now we have choice of either control on position, or target, which is not fun at all.

We should fight enemy, not UI.

Actually, that would be great as I too have tried that tactic only to have my men move somewhere else in the next turn.
