Hello Endless Legend team,

I'm not entirely sure if this is quite the right place to post these but I've been keeping track of some of the things that don't appear to be working properly, as well as some possible exploits in the system which may not be intended.

1. Deleting, then remaking minor faction villages for population

By utilizing the fact that rebuilding pacified villages provides you with a unit of population, you can bypass the dust/food requirement for the next unit of population for an extremely small cost to industry or dust buyout. This is because destroying the village when you are browsing the city's expansion improvements doesn't remove a worker unit from the workers tab. So if I have 10 units of pop. in a city and I delete the minor faction expansion, the game counts the population as 9 (since I removed the village), but in my workers tab I'll still have 10 units of pop. Then if I remake the village, it will add another worker to the tab, so I'll have now 11 workers and the game will reflect the change in population from 9 to 11.

In similar fashion, you can also use this for increasing the counter for quests such as in The Master of Luxury, where I have to make two extractors of the Tier 1 luxury resources. So if I delete an existing extractor from one of my regions and remake it, it'll count towards the total number of extractors I have to make for the completion of that quest. This isn't as game-breaking as the former, but probably still worthy of mention here since I don't think that such behaviour is intended.

2. Issuing stockpiles to more than one city per turn

It seems that this isn't possible. Currently, if I try to issue a stockpile to City B with City A having the stockpile bonus being applied to it, not only will it consume a stockpile but City B won't get the bonus at all. This seems to only occur with the same type of stockpile. I presume that the point of the function of stockpiles is to provide a large bonus to x resource to a number of cities which aren't able to produce as much; this is nullified by the fact that only 1 stockpile per type can be applied to a city per turn.

3. Cold Operator

This is the hero skill that is supposed to nullify the effects of winter. It does so when the hero is assigned to a city (no reduction to smiley: dust/:foodsmiley: smile, but if the hero is in an army, it doesn't have an effect on winter's movement malus. Since the tool-tip of the skill does not mention that it is for use for governing, but rather for any assignment, it doesn't seem to work properly. However, if it was meant for governing a city only, then I'd ask for the tool-tip to make that clear.

4. smiley: approval bonus on Boroughs

If I understand the tool-tip correctly, boroughs initially take from the city's smiley: approval rating by -10, but are supposed to give back +10smiley: approval based on the level of the city. Presumably, this means that if I have a level 1 city (which I take to be achieved when the city tile is surrounded by 4 boroughs), the smiley: approval malus should be cancelled out by the bonus. Level 2 cities (surrounded by 6 boroughs) ought to make the bonus +20 smiley: approval. This definitely isn't the case though, the cities I have which are level 1 still suffer the same penalty as they did before the city became level 1, and level 2 cities offer no such reprieve (and a much worse penalty). I only seem to receive some approval back when the boroughs themselves are level 1 and the city becomes level 3, which I'm guessing is based on having 4 level 1 boroughs around it.

5. Approval in general

It seems that the rating is bugged somewhat. I've had a couple of instances where my cities are "Happy" under 30% smiley: approval and even "Unhappy" when at 100% smiley: approval (usually happens after I conquer some rival faction's city). I've checked the bonuses which the ratings are supposed to give and these tend to reflect the number shown in the approval bar, but this isn't consistent; sometimes I will have the "Happy" bonus when under 30% (which isn't coming from the empire-wide approval bonus) or a negative bonus applied when approval is far greater than 30%.

Great game so far Amplitude. smiley: smile Keep up the good work.

Hi!

Thanks for the report. I move the post in the Games2Gether section in order to be discussed smiley: smile

Back with some more things.

6. Sisters of Mercy's Debuff Immunity

Doesn't seem to be working at the moment. I had some Wild Walker archers hit a Sisters of Mercy unit and the slow down debuff still applied to them. Presumably it shouldn't. Notice that the SoM unit can only move one hex after being hit, where they should be able to move two.

7. Tenei Walker's Stun

Two things: one, it sometimes leaves an graphic artifact when the unit that was affected by Stun dies, and the other is that this seems to be the only skill which also occurs on counter-attack. Since other skills don't seem to work when the unit in question is attacked first (for instance, Haunts don't hit multiple units per Chain Lightning if attacked first; Rumblers don't hit in a cone as per Sweep similarly), this kind of behaviour seems odd. Here, a Vinesnake died previously to an archer after getting stunned by the Walker.

8. Researching an item already obtained

It seems that if you pick up a research item by quest and you had it queued up, it won't take itself out of the queue despite it being completed already. Since the game shows it as already completed, you can't cancel it to pick a different thing to research, as I unfortunately came across here. Notice that Still Houses is numbered as 2, it was queued up after Armorer's Guild, which I came upon by quest. I was unable to cancel it afterwards.

If you try to use the same luxury resource twice. It does not stack either the effect or the duration. That is all fine, but shouldn't it then not even allow me to spend the second bundle since it will have no effect? Just say something like you already have that bonus in effect and cancel the transaction.

Er, doesn't this belong in the Tech Support section where bugs are usually posted? Just curious..

Heh, that is what I thought too. I took his moving it as trying to get double duty out of it, having been noted there perhaps more people would see it here. Then again maybe not.

Those items on Lulz list are certainly a very solid bug report which ought to be in tech support. Maybe Lt Miles interpreted them as criticism of questionable design choices which would go here, but no bugs they are.
