The Arch-Nemesis Unit in a battle is the unit that should be the Primary target for all troops. This does not mean the troops run wildly only after that target, but the Goal of the attack is to eliminate the arch-nemesis unit and secondarly win and survive.



At the beginning of each combat there is the option to identify an enemy unit that is the arch-nemesis which essentially slightly changes the bias of Actions of automated actions and might only apply for an offensive positioning.



This could be available for both the Auto and Manual battle.



The assignment during the battle set-up of the Manual battle is easy, for the Auto battle you would have to add a selection link.





In the Auto Battle mode it is an additional decision criteria for the AI to plan the action which is probably kind of straight forward.





In the Manual Battle mode the Arch-Nemesis is used for:

1. Target suggestions when defining the next Tasks

2. Decision taking during the automated phase after having given the orders to the troops. (The troops seem to run two battle rounds with these orders before they listen again.)

(Please also note that I think the current dynamics that provide none perfect control in the Manual mode is a good solution.)





This could be something the AI could use for its actions as well, ie target the heroes or the elite forces we all spent so much time tuning ... at least when playing the higher difficulty levels ;-)
